The Intelligence Analyst, assigned to a specific client, will work within a Security Operations Center (SOC ) to analyze and assess events that may impact the client’s assets, including personnel, facilities, and brand. Tasked with monitoring social media, performing proactive research, and preparing intelligence-related reporting this role also communicates with relevant stakeholders and responds to physical protection system alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Analyze and assess events to determine potential impact to the client’s assets, including personnel, facilities, product, or brand.
  • Monitor social media and conduct proactive research into potential risks.
  • Perform research, analysis, and reporting on threat environments, as directed.
  • Identify and track incidents within the North and Central regions to resolution.
  • Communicate with relevant client departments through both verbal and written communications.
  • Escalate sensitive or high-impact incidents through the Corporate Security chain of command, up to and including, senior leadership and executives as directed.
  • Assess and maintain a variety of situational awareness tools to advise decision-makers quickly and accurately on possible courses of action.
  • Monitor and administer travel security operations, including tracking, assisting, and advising international travelers on security issues across the region, including preparation of location threat briefs.
  • Support site and regional events through the gathering of intelligence and information.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for intelligence information.
  • Correlate intelligence and contextual data of cases with data used in preparing briefing materials, presentation briefings, and drafting information papers/articles on intelligence issues.
  • Monitor external media feeds for threats to the client's facilities and/or leadership.
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills as a professional representative of the client to protect the interests of the client.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts and alarms involving physical protection systems such as surveillance systems, electronic access control, and intrusion alarms.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in intelligence, homeland security, or criminal justice with at least one year of intelligence, investigations, or a security-related experience.

 

  • Bilingual skills; English and Spanish.
  • Expertise with security incidence response, mitigation, and recovery.
  • Exposure to risk analysis and incident management.
  • Self motivated.
  • Able to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of multinational geopolitical events.
  • Able to communicate effectively in crisis situations.
  • Able to work under adverse and stressful conditions with competing deadlines.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
