The Physical Security Compliance Specialist, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest global clients, serves as an important member of the Prototype Security Compliance team. This role will assist with the development, implementation, and support (which includes on-boarding, set-up, and oversight) of security programs at client’s, contract manufacturing, and third-party locations.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Conduct physical security audits at client’s prototype, contract manufacturing, and third-party servicing locations and compare differences against the project’s security standards.
  • Identify audit issues, submit findings reports, address remediation/recommendations, and follow-up until all items have been resolved.
  • Conduct inventory accountability audits, analyze inventory data reports, and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in the recovery efforts of any lost or misplaced hardware or product.
  • Oversee the integrity of critical shipments from origin/departure through arrival.
  • Partner with existing Supply Chain Security teams to develop best practices for the transportation of critical assets.
  • Leverage specific domain expertise to make effective decisions during the assessment, design, and implementation phases.
  • Provide assistance with moderate level security and/or compliance programs or initiatives with visible risks or roadblocks.
  • Drive timely decisions and escalate or handle escalations.
  • Utilize knowledge and expertise to implement straightforward solutions to mitigate risk, overcome roadblocks, and design short-term solutions with limited guidance.
  • Identify existing connections and leverage accordingly to optimize cross-functional processes that improve security industry-focused projects and goals.
  • Partner across teams within the client’s security organization to influence goals, priorities, and trade-offs, including vendors and external partners.
  • Conduct physical security audits at client and third-party locations.
  • Complete and deliver effective audit reports to client’s security management team.
  • Accurately conduct inventory management of critical components and products.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferred with a background in criminal justice or security management and five years of physical security experience including audit/compliance preferably within supply chain and contract manufacturing security.

 

  • Understanding of geographical risks and related impacts on protection programs.
  • Understanding of inventory control processes.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property protection.
  • CPP, CPI, CISM, PMP, and/or TAPA Auditor certifications, preferred.
  • Able to make appropriate trade-offs between time vs. quality vs. resources.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Able to prioritize based on risk level.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills within all levels of the organization including business and technical.
  • Able to infuse innovation and creativity within all work activities.
  • Self-motivated and committed to follow through.
  • Able to write documentation in a narrative style to explain involved topics.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Computer skill; Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

Working Conditions:
